What does an Accredited Exercise Physiologist do?
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is an allied health professional who specialises in clinical exercise interventions for people with acute and chronic medical conditions, disabilities or injuries. The aim is to empower our clients to use exercise to manage their condition and improve quality of life.

How does Exercise Physiology differ from Physiotherapy?
Exercise Physiology takes a holistic approach to care - we look at the whole picture! We work from your day-to-day experiences and health history (conditions that have already been diagnosed) to guide you in creating an effective plan for exercise to manage your health and reach your goals. We often take on the mid-late stages of rehabilitation.
Physiotherapists specialise in diagnosing, providing prognosis, treating acute injuries and managing chronic health conditions. They use a variety of treatment modalities including manipulation, massage, mobility aids and exercise among others.
We often work together with the care teams of medical professionals to provide the best possible treatment.
